The brief that  i was given and had worked on was to create an opening title sequence of a new fiction film lasting two minutes.

For this title sequence i worked with Hayley and Aaron. Our film is called 'Delayed' and it is based on a love story between a male and female and how they encounter different issues in which stops them from being with each other. The plot of the film is of two individuals bumping into each other every morning, on their way to work, and have a connection not physically but mentally. They then start to interact and plan a date together however this does not go the way it was planned as the male character encounters an accident which involves him getting amnesia resulting him forgetting about the date and soul mate. Few years later his memory returns and so he tries to find the female character and when he does he finds out that she is happily engaged to someone else. Knowing that she is engaged the two individuals can not help but still love each other and feel the strong connection. This then continues as they begin to have an affair. The female character feels guilty in betraying her fiance so she ends it with him and begins a new fresh start with her love of her life.

We chose the name of our title to be 'Delayed' because throughout the film the male character encounters many situations in which results him being delayed whether it is being late to work or late in meeting his soul mate. We also thought that this was a suitable name for our film title as our film is based on love on trains as the two lovers met each other on a train and therefore fell in love on a train and reunited on a train.

Our title sequence is part a of our film; the part in which the two individuals are on their way to meet each other for their date, which does not happen due to the male character getting into a bus accident. In our title sequence we wanted to show the type of people these two characters were; the male being geeky and unlucky however the female being beautiful and lucky. To get this connotation we edited all of the male parts in black and white to represent dullness and unluckiness and kept all the female parts in colour to show the brightness and happiness her life involves. The genre that we chose to base our title sequence around is romantic comedy. I think that this genre is well suited for our film and title sequence plot as it shows the lovey-dovey romantic side as well as the humorous side; the way in which the male character gets hit by a bus.
